The “Christmas card” brief is an annual conundrum for any creative agency. The challenge is to create something unique and fun while avoiding festive clichés and hackneyed concepts. Simplicity, at a time of year when everything else is heavily adorned, is often all that’s needed to stand out.
Knowing that we would be launching a new agency name early in 2017, we seized the opportunity to bid a subtle farewell to osbornenash – and tease our new moniker at the same time.
Printed on 350gsm Accent Smooth Black, a solitary silver star hovers above a foiled and embossed wordmark, heralding the birth of the new agency name: borne™. The star reappears inside, and copy rallying people to ‘follow us’ reinforces the Nativity story to generate excitement around our impending rebrand in the new year.
